Talking Harman Kardon Refurb

After a couple seasons of grief I finaly had the Dealer swap my radio for a refurbished one. Turn around was rather quick. About a week. Hope it is fixed for good.
First it was just shutting off. Then good for long periods. Then dropped a rear speaker. Then a front one. Then another front. Then down to one rear, just some of time. They agreed to get my bike out of the storage barn I rent and do the swap and put it back. The swap is supposed to be $275.00 for the radio and about $60.00 for labor. Hated to do it but, there is no way to get it fixed any other way that I know of, and keep the HK.
While they were in there they found I had a broken inner fairing bracket and they welded that.
Should be ready to ride if it ever warms up.

I just thought of something! Since they did the diagnostic last Fall. Was it still under warranty? 3 year warrenty? Or am i having brain fade?

I had mine replaced under warranty.
then last summer it went out again.
I was about 6 months out of warranty.
I asked the service manager if there was
any way to do a courtesy warranty.
He said he would ask H-D and get back with me.
About a week and a half later he called and said
they would repalce it for 100.00, no labor.
I jumped at that and have had no trouble yet.(Knock on wood)
