Good point Steve.. The detachable rack is on my list of "to get's" so when I do that, I'll be loosing the grab bar. I noticed looks like you've powder coated yours. Appreciate the input!

I have a grab bar from my 07 SG (no holes) if your interested. Your post didn't mention what year bike you have.

www.bruisersinc.com has end caps w stud bolts on them, I just put a couple of nuts in the bolt and then a piece of plastic hose and slid them.

Yes, it's black to try and hide it a little bit. I also trimmed it up a bit, cleaned it up and trimmed off some of the excess that wasn't needed.

I would like to do some cool design to it with a water jet machine or something like that, but until that happens it will just remain black.

****, ya scared me..I cut mine off with a whizzer wheel last week and have 2 holes there myself..also have a king tour pack..but with the removable dock kit. Was in "oh ****' mode for a second.

I've got some 5/8" chrome push button pipe ends that I'm going to try making work to finish it off.
