Default What do you use to get crap off your pipes?

I ask this question, because we just got back from a ride yesterday, and wouldn't you know it. The wife touched her boot to my pipe. Actually it happens prob every other ride. However it is the first burn mark of the year.
Anyways, I have been useing " easyoff " over cleaner and it seems to work pretty well. You need to put in some elbo grease but it does come off.
Any other secrets from around the house?

I have used Honda Spray & Polish & it worked well. Also saw a post here this week where someone used Goo Gone.

I have used goof-off with success in the past. You might still have to use a razor blade very carefully if your trying to get it off chrome.

A few few months ago I saw a post saying to apply chrome polish very generously. Let it sit there for a bit then scrape with a penny. No, not kidding. I think it was chrome polish, don't remember.

Now it took some time (you'll be more careful in the futrue) but not unreasonable and I'll be darned, it worked. Safe against marring up chrome.

Also, the Mr Clean Magic Erasers work great!! I have been very surprised at what that little white sponge has gotten off.

Steel wool or razor blades can scratch the chrome. A penny, made of copper is softer and will not scratch. I melted my rainsuit to the exhaust, I scraped with a penny, it all came off. I wouldn't use oven cleaner, it can damage adjacent paint
