Default 510g cams

Anyone using 510 gear drive cams in their Ultra, how do you like them? Thinking about upgrading my 01. Thanks, Jeff

peewee, I had S&S .510G's in my Heritage and they were a pretty hot set-up, but didn't wake up until I reached 2,800-3,000rpm's. I know cause I had a tach on it. I'm not sure but what the TW 26A's I used to have in my other wise stock Roadie weren't better for low end torque.
Maybe someone else will have a better idea.

I'm really happy with my set up. I replaced the SE 203's with S&S 510's.
I have an 01 RK with Marelli EFI, so I decided to go with a 'mild' build.
Like Marsh said, I noticed a huge improvement in mid-range power, they really turn on when you want to pass. I think they are excellent all round cams that put power where you need it. I didn't really notice much coming off the line, but I didn't buy a cruiser to pop wheelies anyhow.
I put in the S&S gear drive, cam, and power commander all at the same time, and it was like riding a whole new bike.

Using the WOODS TW-6G cam, 510 lift. Very torquey cam, couldnt be happier. Very broad powerband from idle through 5,500. Peak tq. at 4,000

I also have the 510 cams and loveum. Before when running along at 70 or 75, you go to pass. You twist the wick and all you got was noise, now you better hold on. You can feel the preasure on the back rest now that you didn't before. Would do it again in a heart beat.

I put S&S 510 gear driven cams in my '99 FLHRCI with SE Stage II kit, Power commander and SE slip-ons. This was originally to replace very worn cam chain tensioners that were looking after SE 203 cams but the cams had slightly worn lobes and so were also replaced.

Had it dyno'd afterwards and saw increased power across almost the entire rev range. Back on the road I picked up about 6 HP (max) and 11 ft-lbs (max) torque with no change to fuel economy and yep, you better hang on from about 50mph to about 85mph (no tacho), but not too shabby off the line either. Very happy with the result. You may notice a small whining noise of the gear drive on deceleration - which, after seeing my old tensioners, is quite reassuring. Go for it I say. Transformed by bike, too.

I had the Kuryakyn TC1G 510 lift cams in my 88. I had the Road Rage 2-1 pipe, and AN aircleaner with a DTT. It would really pull strong, very snappy. I would recomend them to anyone.

I have it and it is a really good set up. I have over 100hp on my 103, it pulls up to around 4500 or so (I forget now its winter, been a while since Ive been riding). I have an 07 so it was recommended to leave the chain/tensioner alone. One other thing I can say is I have NEVER had a starting issue, to where you need comp. releases.

HP do you have a dyno sheet for your build with the TW-6G I have a buddy that really likes the Woods cams and he has been talking them up to me, I have an 05 FLTRI and have been looking at a couple of the Andrews cams havent made up my mind yet and would like to look at a few other cams before I decide.
