Default 09 Ultra Classic remote backrest?

Does anybody know where they are installing the remote lever for the adjustable rider backrest. With the heatshields just below the seat behind the tank, not sure where they are installing them. Thanks

+1 Dawg. Just got one the other day and the install instruction indicate the same doc you have provided.

+2 on what Dawg said.

Had an adjustable on my '07 Ultra and that is where the remote action level is located.

It is best to sit on the bike and get yourself 'set' with a position before you head out for a ride. If you need to make a minor adjustment while riding, it's not 'too' hard to reach under the deflector (though I had the Kuryakyn deflectors which were a bit bigger than the H-D deflectors, so it may be a bit easier with the H-D deflectors).

Affirmative; it's tucked neatly behind/under the left heat deflector.
