the new hinges look great,. i have some on order. any advice on the installation. did you drill out the rivits or grind down the heads on the outside. thanks for helping. ted

You should be able to set your browser so it automatically adjusts everything to your screen size. I can view all the big pics on my 13" Macbook without scrolling at all.

 

so any definitive word on whether those hinges will work on a chopped tourpak, and if not, why?

Just installed these on the bike yesterday, nice addition indeed!

 

Had a friend help me put them on my 09 UC. Great addition.

 

Would you report back when a verdict is reached? I looked at my bike (chopped) and a regular EG TP Saturday, both with the stock hinges, and saw only one minor difference. The chopped, being shorter, seems to have a slightly greater angle on the hinges when closed. I don't know why this would be a factor, but HD does state that the new hinges don't fit the chopped TP. I suspect that maybe the new hinges won't allow the chopped TP to fully close without stressing the plastic its mounted to.

We need some brave soul to try it. Don't look at me, I'm chicken.

 

Sorry, I have a 17" laptop and size them for it, I hate it when I have to scroll also.
