Sold the Sportster and picking this up Friday. Got a 3 hour ride home on it, mainly looking to find out how the cruise control and radio functions operate.

Thanks John. Just wanting to learn some of the basic control functions on the bars to get it home. Example: can you change from radio to CD or change stations from the bar controls? How to engage the cruise, can it be adjusted up and down from the bar controls? Appreciate any help. Been riding bikes for 30 years, just never had one this fancy

 

I'll see what I can scan in that will help you out along those lines. Cruise is pretty straight forward. Flip the switch below the speedo/tach and the set, resume etc are inboard from the right hand grip ( I think--been a long winter--may have to go out and actually uncover and look). I'll scan some stuff in for you tomorrow. PM me you email address and I'll send what I do to you that way if you'd like. If you find you need more I can do some more.

I believe the owners manual I have is like most of them. They are kind of broad in scope so the manual covers all Touring bikes for 2004 in our case.
