Hey everyone,

I have an '09 Ultra and have a question. I took of my HD highway pegs(the kind that have 360 degree rotation to put them where you want them once mounted) and I don't have anywhere near enough clearance between the lowers/crash bars to put the bracket on the crash bars and insert the bolt. Is it possible that the lower design changed a slight bit on the '09? I've had these on a couple of bikes and would really like to have a set of highway pegs but the ones I have don't appear to be anywhere near close to fitting on this bike. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Get the long angled HD mounts, they're designed to clear the lowers

 

Change the '09 lowers from what year '08? '07? '06???????

HD part 50830-07A is the short angled mount for Hwy pegs if you are a taller person. They are also designed, per HD website, to clear fairing lowers.

 

I would agree, they have made some kind of change on the 09 Ultra, my highway pegs off my 06 Ultra do not come around the lower fairing of my 09 like they had on my 06..

 

To answer your question, no the lower fairings were not changed. The only change was the engine guard due to the frame change, but it was a minor change.

 

The short or long should work. I have a buddy with a 09' and he has the long ones. They work just fine. They hug lowers pretty close, but there is still adjustment for them. I double checked because I was thinking of putting lowers on my SG.
