Default New Bushtec Coming!

Well I ordered me up a new Bushtec Roadstar today. I have never trailered with a bike before so any pointers would be great.
One question I have is I am about ready for a new rear tire so is there a better tire to have when pulling a trailer? Thanks for any pointers.

you're gonna love it!
just make sure to balance the load so you have the correct tongue weight. and allow more distance for stopping
I have pulled with the stock dunlop and now a michelin...... can't really tell any difference

I've been pulling a trailer since 1995 and love it....would not leave home without my trailer, so damm handy.
I also have a Bushtec, best on the market, pulls great and NO Bounce at all.....

pointers:
have your load heavy towards the toung (front)....load most heavy item in bottom. Remember "it's back there" sometime we forget and you can take a fender off very easy.....
pratice a little before you jump off on a trip....it will pull very nicely, just remember when braking, allow a little more room....

Enjoy and post some pictures

I had the most trouble when pulling in to a gas station. I would forget the trailer was back there and get too close to the island. I never hit anything with the trailer but I did learn how to back up the bike/trailer in short order!

Don't forget parking will be more of a challenge. Really look a head to see what works best even if you have to walk a greater distance.
Be prepaired for increased tire wear. After hauling on a long trip your tire will develope a foot print that will continue wear the tire in the same fashion even with the trailer unhooked.
You will love having a trailer!
