Stage 1 Air Cleaner . . . Or Not
#21
I have an 08 Road King Classic. After a few months I got the SE AC and the factory remap. Noticeable improvment in performance, the AC upgrade is worth the cost.
A year later, I am looking to get the PCV and jackpot slipons. I would recommend you consider the PCV along with your AC upgrade and not do the factory ECM remap. You don't have to do the slipons. If you do the factory ECM, you will pay 150.00 where the PCV will cost you 299.00 and the PCV can be upgraded later if you do slipons.
I haven't purchased yet, but plan to listen to other forum members and call Jamie at Fuel moto for a PCV and Jackpots when there are enough 20s in the drawer.

That's exactly what I was thinking! The sound is every bit the same and every bit as appealing! I haven't noticed any noise under normal cruising, but when you nail it an orchestra lights up with great sounds coming from these different instruments--the AC in front and two mufflers in the rear. I can't imagine why anyone would object to these sounds.

I do understand the budgetary issues, though, so don't get me wrong. You can buy just two parts and upgrade later by simply installing the new hardware and updating the map.
