Just wanted to get some input. My rear cylinder pipe near the crossover has some kinda heat rash in the area due to I was told, my pant leg. I asked about it last time I was at the dealer and they they said there is no holy grail to clean that stuff off. I tried with a very expensive chrome polish and buffed the crap out of the area with my chordless drill. Did very little good.

Any sugesstions??

is there material stuck to the pipe? or did you buff the chrome off of it?

i always got the pipe hot then rubbed carefully with some chrome polish

or try some wd-40 when cool. do you have any close up pics.of the problem area

 

Tried that. Kinda looks like heat rash.
