All the time I was listening to my XM I had the anteanna on the am/fm disconnected because I was waiting for an adapter to hook up the anteanna wire to my tour pack. Today the part came in and after I hooked everything back up my XM started working without fading in and out. So I guess The XM being plugged into the AM/FM also uses that anteanna too.

If you have anymore problems, I had this same problem and it was just a bad antenna

One of my riding buddies has his mounted on the tour pack, says it works great.
