Default hogtunes front speakers/magnet/bracket

For those who put the hogtunes speaker upgrade into your batwing ... did the larger magnets of the hogtunes speakers touch the bracket the connects to the lower screw on the speaker housing ?

Mine touch on an '04 Ultra - not sure if this is going to be a problem, ie. Metal bracket touching the magnet.

Thx for the replies...

No. Mine didn't touch. I just went and looked at a picture and it does look close but they didn't touch. I will try to attach the photo. I have one hogtune installed and one stock. You can also see the garage door opener that I wired in at the same time.

One more thought - Originally my bike did not have a stereo. When I installed it I had to get new speaker inserts. The bike ogiginally just came with something to hold the fabric covers over the holes in the fairing. Does your speaker insert look like the one on the right?

My brackets touched.

I used several layers of gorilla tape until there was no more magnetic pull.

Not sure how this will effect the brackets or speakers in time...

I had never heard of this issues until reading this. I think I will hold off on the hogtunes now.

Did you buy for the correct year model? I think the pre-2006 models used a smaller speaker.
