Question Fat FRONT Tire?

Okay, this will be the first I have seen of this and maybe its even weird.

I like the look of the bigger front tire on the FatBob and the customs from Exile choppers.

And I know I can put the 140 on the back of my '99 RK.

But does anybody know how wide of a front tire I can fit under a FL fender with stock HD rims?

Do they even make wider front tires for HD's?

Pics anyone?

Why do you want a wider tire? They only make things less maneuverable.

I saw an RK once that I believe had about a 230-240 rear and 220-230 front. Had slim style bags so that the back end didn't look too wide. Looked pretty unique.

I do love the look of the "exile style" big front ends, but I think I like them on "bobber" or "ratrod" style bikes better than I do on a bagger.

I like the look? My friend has a 150 no the front of his Valyrie. It looks nice.

Do you think a pair of matched 140's would be less manequverable?

One of the bagger mags has an article on a bike that Dragon Fly put together that, if I remember right, has matching 4.25 or 4.5 inch wheels front and rear with a fat front tire and it looks cool. I haven't been able to find any more info on it though. But yeah, after seeing that bike, I have seriously thought about doing that.

I can look tonite and get you the magazine name and issue number if you want.

Hey, that answer works if it's your money. Just be aware of the trade-offs. Most touring bike owners probably aren't thrashing around enough to worry about the performance handling differences.
