Default Rev Tech Six Speed Tranny?

Got a buddy who just purchased one of these new for around $650. I've got an 05 FLHT that I take on some pretty long trips, 85-95mph for somewhat long time periods. Don't really need a 6 speed, but would'nt mind havindg it for fuel efficiency, moter wear etc. Is the rev tech worth a dam? I know the Baker's probably the best, but too expensive What are the options?

Id think seriously about selling and getting a newer Harley with a 6 speed, 96" engine etc. In the long run, it might not cost more?

Just a thought

Default Good luck with mine

I have a one on my Badboy, it has roughly 25000 miles on it and I haven't had one issue, great for them higher speeds because 6th gear is overdrive, HDs 6-speed doesn't have an overdrive. I would highly recommend it!!

My 'indy' pushes RevTech. I have used they oil 10yrs in place of MOCO oil. He has built 2 bike using 100" motor and 110". both had the 6 speed and when i test rode the 100", it felt smooth. look long and hard @ the RevTech

I have a RevTech 6 speed gear set in my bike. No issues and are hella cheaper than baker.

Had a 100" Revtech along with their 6 speed in a chopper I built and then flogged for 4 or 5 years. To say I rode that thing hard and put it away wet would be an understatement. Eg: broke a clutch cable one night while making the rounds and kept going, made several more bar stops before riding it 30 miles home at 3am. To my knowledge that transmission is still holding up.

Default Have a Rev Tech on 2001 FLHT

I put a six speed gear set,in my bike after I put in a big bore kit.I've never had problem's with it but in 6th gear it makes noise.I called Rev Tech, and they said put some mud in it and run it.I put 75W-110 /Amsoil in it,and have close to 30,500 miles on it no problems.

2001,FLHT,1550, 6sp Rev Tech

I have no experience with RevTech products.
I do have experience with Ultima products, though.
Ultima makes some pretty bullet-proof products, too.
