I was rollin down the road and had 4 scooters coming towards me and all of them gave me the hand down thumb up sign as if they were on some real bike also!!
I was too stunned to do anything but look and continue to roll. I ride an 04 EGC so it was not like they confusesd me for another scooter by any means. Am I over reacting or what?
2nd off: "hand down thumb up sign" ain't the proper bike wave anyway. You don't know the proper bike wave, or what it is suppose to mean, do you?
Here, I’ll educate your “Harley Snob ****”: It is suppose to be “hand down and two fingers pointing down”. The “two fingers pointing down” represents “Keeping two wheels down” on the pavement. Hoping you don’t wreck. Have a nice day.

Why not wave
Maybe I am missing something here or someone else is.
The "wave" is not under "trademark" for each make of M/C that I know of.
The "wave" is a gesture of "have a safe & great ride" as they pass.
Check the sites which actually mention Harley riders;

Have ridden all makes/models of M/Cs - scooters in 50 years of riding and always waved at anything motorized on 2 wheels (yes including mopeds).
I have never seen nor heard of a rule that a Harley rider can't return a friendly wave to someone on another make/model of M/C or any motorized scooter.
If you are not waving back at the scooters then maybe that is why some of those scooters I wave at don't wave back - some Harley rider probably thought it was below their "class of rider" to wave at them previously.
You never know but that scooter rider maybe around if you have the "unfortunate" happen to you and that rider is the only one that sees what happened or maybe he won't because of the "slighting" of his previous "wave" the week prior.
Karma comes in 2 "sizes" - good & bad - you decide what "size" you want.
Nuff said ! Off soapbox now !!
