Default XM direct and Biketronics

Just curious if anyone has installed the XM direct (supposed to be underdash and controlled by the head unit) to a bike with a Biketronics kit w Sony deck. Can you control the XM with the handlebar controls? Is the relative volume of the XM to the CD/tuner adjustable?

Thanks to all for any input.

Yep, I have the Biketronics set up with Sony Xplod w/XM on my TC. Everything is controlled via thumb controlls, plug and play. Volume works same as other modes. You have to get creative hiding the XM componets behing the batwing to keep them secure and from exerting force on the inside of the batwing, but it definately can be done. Also I have had no luck getting a good signal with the antenna hidden inside the fairing.

Good question, I have an XM Direct coming Monday and was wondering the same thing. V2 Bagger where do you have your XM antenna mounted and how did you route the cable from inside the fairing ? A picture would be great.
Thanks,

The XM antenna is magnetic. I have a H-D 3-pouch windshield bag that has a metal base. I pulled the antenna up between the inner fairing and windshield and stuck it between two of the pouches on the metal base. If you dont have any metal up there you could use velcro or double sided tape.
