Did you have to shorten the fork springs in order to put the 18" up front and keep the bike balanced?

Nice wheels BTW.

Looks awesome, wheels change the whole appearance of the bike.

No need to replace the rear wheel, Krylon sells a chrome rattle can that will take care of it!

Yes, I actually bought the matching rear wheel...but I saved some coin by not buying the sprocket and rotor for the rear. I did get the chrome belk sprocket cover though. Some guys are buying the RC Comp "Smoothie" for the rear to save $$.

As for the front spring I'm not sure what a stock setup would be like but I have the "Profile Low Front Suspension" from HD which dropped the front 1" more than stock RK Custom and St Glide. The rear has Progressive 412's which are 11.5" extended. Before I put the 18" wheel on the front she was about 1/2" high in the front but that never effected the "balance."

The ride is outstanding! Metzeler makes a great tire. My Dunlops felt like stones under me compared to these. The tire is approx 1" wider that stock RK. I could have gone with an 18 X 4.5" rear wheel for a wider look but I am getting a 12" air ride soon and fender clearance is an issue with that combination.
