My 07 rides fine for me, did adjust shocks to 15lbs. That is where I like it. Took me about a week to get to really like the bike coming from a Softail with forward controls. After that week.....its been nothing but miles of smiles. Been cross country on both and would take the Glide over the softail any day.

Go for a test drive or rent one.

Did mine and took it out for the first time last Sunday. No more nose diving and a more firm, controlled ride. I'm satisfied.....
Yet another good idea. FWIW to all those who want to change their own fork oil, you don't need to go through the rigmarole dictated in the service manual. Here's my write-up on how to do it in less than an hour and without disassembling the forks.

Default rides fine

I weigh 245 and my wife is 160 and no complaints on the 09 SG. Dont know what the shocks are set at. Only have 500 miles but have been on some bumpy roads. I bought the pump a couple days ago and plan to check the shock pressure. One thing I know for sure is this. I hit a pothole that my Dyna would have sent me flying over the bars. The SG took it and I did come an inch off the seat but the bike stayed straight and true.

Best ride I've had yet on a Harley. Comming off a softail I think you'll like it.
