Trailering,covering bike?

For a one-shot deal, go buy 4 sheets of OSB, 5 8' 2x4s and a box of screws. Build a box over the bike. Cost you about $50 to really protect the bike.

YEP not a smart thing to do only good solution is a enclosed trailer unless
you are looking for trouble-ride safe

You don't cover it when you ride the same highways so why cover it when you put it on a trailer? I don't get it.

Covering the bike bad idea. No cover or enclosed only way to go. Shrink wrap should work on the way down, but what about on the way back? You would have to take the wrap and torch with you. Beg, borrow or rent an enclosed trailer.

There is a product that is intended for that use. Called Gator Hide or something. No experience with it though.
You could buy a roll of the 3M clear stuff and put it on strategic areas and then just peel it off when you get home.
