Great reading Guys,, Thanks,,,, sounds like an adventure for sure... Wanted to find a house/condo to rent for a month... could not find anyting in my range so we opted for veternsholidays.com condo's for 329 a week... Too cold to ride from CA on the bike so the fly and ride is the next best thing.. Have a CCW so I always pack, lol... I do take care & watch - retired firefighter (35 years) So, if you see a short gray haired rider with a gal on back and they look lost, could be me... Later....

If you were to end up on Rt 41 coming across Aligator Alley as has been suggested by a few posters, there are lots of airboat rides available and gator viewing at reasonable prices.

When you go to Tampa take 41 and do the air boat ride on the south side of the highway (I think it is the second one you come to), continue along 41 to Rt. 29, north on 29 to I 75, I 75 to Tampa.
While passing through the Keys look for a white Street Glide and buy the rider a drink.

Casino Stopped n there for breakfast with Master Blaster on the way to the keys. He got his $7 worth! We live here and I never tire of always being on vacation. I used my bike for work today, 200 mi and I am burnt up!
You up north guys have all the luck, look at how much you saved on sun screen & Geico insurance.
Tomorrow it will rain, it is 75* now but it was up into the 80's

Picked up the FLHTCI at Miami HD - interesting location , lol... Stayed away from Miami and just rode straight to the Keys... Had a great ride down to Key West - stayed the night and rode back... Had a great time at "Sloppy Joes" watched the Sun Set and fed the Tarpin at "Robbies" Watched our speed and stayed out of trouble... Ride from Homestead to Key West with a lunch stop was about 3.5 hours... slow speeds...
As far as seeing Gators... We spent so much time in the Keys on the Bike... We decided to come back in the car to see the gators... Decided to visit The Everglade National park... GREAT way to see all the Gators a person wants to see - Did both the southern park and "Shark Valley" National park side off highway 41 -- Great way and only $10 for both of us and that ticket was good for 7 days... After those two days we opted out of the airboat... Thanks for all the advice - almost forgot... we did stop by Alabama Jacks.... Very nice ride - all in all..
