Did the heim joint shift linkage mod today...

Just a thought. I had a HD stainless one from my sporty and sense my Dyna only needed a 5" one I got some 5/16 24 all thread to make a custom one.
Well it turns out that the Hiem joints from the HD custom one were not 5/16, they were 8mm fine thread. Very close in size but would not go on the allthread more than 4-5 turns.
Check your spares. I would hate for somebody to have the piece of mind and find out in BFE that they don't work.

they are 5/16 - 24, right handed thread. if you are reusing your original shifting rod.

Changed mine while up at the 105th, a friend had a couple freebees so I scored a free one.
Would not have changed it otherwise.

I gained 5 horsepower after installing the rod ends

You should have used black, you'd a gained 8hp then.
