+1 on the MF cloth and water, but every six months I apply some Rejex on the WS, all painted surfaces, and most of the chrome. This stuff is like Teflon and insects come off easily with the microfiber cloth and water, even love bugs.

Use corrosionX all the time, didn't know about Rejex, but I think this company knows what they are doing with their products. I may give Rejex a try.

I would'nt put Rain-X on the presidential limo....but then again, maybe I would...RAIN-X sucks IMPO....I have friends who swear by it but I will NEVER put it on another windshield, except my boat, which dosnt have wipers and I dont usually drive after dark....:>)

Default Pledge alternative product

Pledge is great stuff. I have been using it for years on everything that has chrome and paint on it. Just for the duece of it I picked up a can of the Pledge look alike stuff at the local Dollar store for $1.50, in a larger aerosol can too. Works just as good as the name brand Pledge does. Makes no difference whether it is orange or lemon, it all works the same. A light spray and a quick buff with a cotton t-shirt is all it takes to make your bike shine after a ride. Harley windshields and Clearview both like the stuff too.

I was told NOT!!! to use rain x, that it would cause a milky residue. I've seen it on a buddy of mine's shield, not pretty.

Maybe false economy. Tulsa Enterprises is one of the largest manufacturers of aftermarket motorcycle windshields. On their "Hints" web page, they give some do's and don'ts for cleaning windshields. The part about Pledge is in the second para.
