Novus #1

NEVER use Windex or Rainex. they will destroy your windshield.

Always best to use something MADE for the job at hand. Novus is made for polycarbonits such as the shield

Good ol' "liquid wax" in a spray bottle...Just a wet rag, let it sit for a few minutes and the bugs wipe right off.
As far windex, rain-ex...No ammonia based product, it will "Craze" it over time meaning those little fine cracks, Rainex is alcohol based but still may cause crazing over long periods of time, usually attacks the protective coating.
Vineger based works well too

For those asking where to get Plexus. It shouldn't be hard to find. Around here it's at every dealer. Walmart stocks it too. You could also check the auto parts stores.

protectall or plexus

I use protectall on the entire bike, works great. I travel with a small can in my saddle bags.

I use Plexus, Pledge or Honda cleaner if I'm cleaning the entire bike. Novus and Mequires products work good for removing scratches.
