shiney bike on gravel roads

gravel and washing
I bought my 98 roadglide to ride and enjoy life and the open road. I wash it every couple of months whether it needs it or not. I have been on a few gravel roads last year, A quick wash afterwards no biggie. The last thing i am going to do is sit there and baby it, clean it after every use, wax, wash. I am not the type of guy to sit in the garage for hours and hours cleaning and make it look perfect. Remember these are oily, leaky american made bikes that need a lot maintenace. GO RIDE !!!! Not inttended to **** any one off. Just my 2 cents

I have to ride 600 feet on a white rock road every time I leave the garage. I don't pick out gravel roads on purpose, but I ride where I want to ride and clean the bike up afterwards if it needs it.
I have recieved more rock chips on all my vehicles from oncoming traffic than what I kick up myself. It usually helps to move to the side of the road and slow down a bit when a car is coming in the opposite direction.
