Default Road King Handle Bars

Just wondering if I can get a better fit with my 09 RKC.

I'm 6'2" tall and usually sit upright in the stock RKC saddle. The standard handlebars seem to want me to lean forward from where I would like to be in my natural posture. Is there a bar with more pullback that might suit me better?

I installed Heritage Softail handlebars on my Road King classic. I don't know if they can be made to fit on the "fly by wire" models, but they're perfect for me. I'm 6'3" and am very comfortable with them.

Thanks! Are those Heritage Classics the bars in the picture? They look a little higher than the RKC bars which would translate to coming further back.

+1 on the Heritage bars. If I remember correctly its 2.25 higher than stock and very very slightly less on the pull-back. You can always rotate the bars slightly in the mount to make up the difference for the reach forward to the controls.

BigG. 6'-2 here and RKC also. I have the same issue and I have it narrowed down to two choices. Either the Wild Ones 518's, or the Heritage bars. I went into the dealer and sat on an '09 Heritage. Thats a bar set I can live with. About 2 more inches up and back. So my dealer is bringing in a set for me to look at and if I like the hand position I'll be going with them. It will be pricey tho because it means changing some cables. Might as well chrome out everything at the same time. I really like the look of the Chubby's but I'm thinking its too much of a change for me to get used to. The Heritage bars are similar to my stock but will pull my hands back just enough to make it comfortable. Just can't stop spending money on this thing LOL

I have an 08 RKC, am only 5'9", a have the same issue with the bars as everyone. I need them higher and back further. After some research, I decided to buy Heritage bars. They now sell Heritage bars with the notched end for the 08 and later kings. #56902-08
I have them but have not installed them yet. No need for cable changes. Just so ya know, the 09 heritage has slightly different bars than the pre-09 models...more like a buckhorn style. They feel good, but I do not think MOCO is seeling them in a "notched" version for the FBW bikes. Allot of people swear by the Heritage bars and I'm hoping they work for me.

Yes I was told that the actual bar I would get would be an aftermarket from Drag Specialties, to include the req'd notch for the 09.

Thanks for all the help guys! I checked my 2007 catalog and couldn't find the bar # you specified but the Internet sellers have it. Now I got to decide how much I want to change all the stuff. I'll bet putting the bars on is not simple with the handgrips n'all.
