Mine doesn't have it, and the Brembo's are really good at stopping, but if I ever trade I would get ABS without even thinking it about it for a minute.

Very true, skill will always win, but with skill and good technical equipment your odds of surviving a situtation are dramatically increased. 10-4?

Mine have made life a little easier for me a couple of times. No regrets on the ABS.

Frankly we're not really talking about a lot of money...especially when you consider the safety aspects. I have it on my '08 and would never to back

To those that think thier SKILL will win over the ABS System...FORGET IT. it won't happen. The ABS WILL stop you faster, and straighter than you can EVER stop the bike without the ABS. And with no skidding.

You simply can not pump your brakes to the point of locking fast enough, or often enough in a Panic situation. No way..No How.

I have taken enough advanced riding classes to know how to brake pperly, and I KNOW that I can not stop a bike that quickly and safely. I went with the ABS on my 2008 because I KNEW it was better. Ask any good Motorcycle LEO, they will tell you the same thing. They have used it for years...BECAUSE IT WORKS!!!

Get the ABS...it can and most likely WILL save your tail at some point in your riding carreer.

Amen to that. Most cops have way more training that us. They also put in more mile in a year than many of us get in five years, so they have plenty of experience. They have to ride in all kinds of weather and road conditions. They have ABS because it works.

I don't think ABS is even offered on anything but the touring models, seems like the around town bikes would need it more. Maybe they figure in the different conditions the touring bikes encounter.
