1 Thing to consider. If you are planning on changing handlebars.

The front brake is special and Harley does not make a longer line.

Your choices on bars may be limited.
I have tallboy handlebars on mine with ABS and longer braided lines so unless your going with real tall apes your probably safe.

I was told by the dealer you could not add the ABS later. I got mine with ABS & love it. We have a bunch of crazy tourist & white haired around Orlando. Have had to use it only 1 time but liked the way I had more control.

I wasn't going to buy an '09 without ABS - I believe in taking advantage of any safety advantage available. I had to wait 8(?) weeks for my bike, my dealer could of got my color choice from another dealer in a couple of days without ABS - but since I insisted on it he had to order it from the factory. I too believe the re-sale of similar bikes without ABS will be lower - but that wasn't my primary reason for getting it.

I also asked it a few months ago. Buy it because you will never regret not getting it until its too late.
Thanks for the reply Mike. I think the search needs an idiot button because everytime i search something I get nothing back. I always have to use google to see if anything was posted on here. I called the dealer and added ABS. Thanks bud.

Thanks to all that replied. I had the dealer add ABS to my bike order. Better safe than sorry.

Now that I've had it, and used it, I'll always buy it.
