I've been using an aftermarket set (very simular to the new MOCO ones) for 2 years on my 06 Chppped Pac without issues. Blue Locktite and no backing out. BTW the 06 Chopped is the ABS not fiberglass. Don't know why MOCO said it won't fit. If you look in the parts manual the oems should be the same pn.

The H-D site starts out stating
"Upgrade the appearance of your King or Chopped Tour-PakŪ with these premium hinges."
Then finishes with "Does not fit Chopped Tour-PakŪ Luggage."

I gotta' admit - I didn't see what the big deal was. I was under the impression the stock hinges looked pretty close already - so I just ran out to the garage and took a peek - Yikes! The stock hinges look like hell. Guess I'll be adding these to my list too!

The new hinges are threaded so you can't just use pop rivets.

OK, I'm gonna go ahead and order a set for my '08 Chopped Tour-Pak and we'll see if they fit.

http://www.eglidegoodies.com/id266.html Not as cheap, but says it fits King & chopped & more year coverage. I have noticed that my lid has a small crack by the hinge.
