Default Re-Doing the Inner

I have an 08 Anniversary Ultra but really did not like the plain black dash,,,,so, with the help of the internet, I located a new take off Inner and had it painted the Anniversary Copper and am in the porcess of swapping them out......Here's some pic's

Lots of wires and clips and clamps and little places

Thought this was gonna be easy.....

The New Painted one

Lower Cap

Had to drop in the gauges just to see what it's gonna look like!

Even had the Chrome gauge trim "Layed on" for the look.....Me Like it, Allot!

Also got an 8 1/2" Bronze windshield I'll install to round it off! SHould look awesome. Will post when done!

Looks good. I am in the process of doing the same thing. At the painters right now. I decided to go with gloss black.

Just helped a buddy do his last night. We got it done in a few hours. He had already put chubby bars and found out that he couldnt use the fairing mounted mirrors. So hes off to the dealer today to get handlebar mounted ones

That looks really sharp! Can you post one more photo of the new dash mounted from the seat or behind the bike?

FLTR2008Trike, you got a nice looking bike there, nice paint!

Looks great. A painted inner fairing is the best bang for the buck cosmetic mod, IMO.

Changing the inner fairing is not difficult; just tedious. The Service Manual has excellent step by step instructions.
