Bring this back up again.

I'm really contemplating doing this if I can find a non California header.

Again, is there anyone here that has done this? If so, did it make any difference in performance? Does it run any cooler? Did your exhaust get any louder?

My understanding is the cat keeps the probe for dyno tuning from getting far enough up the pipe for a good tune. So at least a non-cat header would help tuning wise, if your going to dyno the bike.

In another thread a while back Fullsac reported that he dynoed a bike with the stock Cali header and then with the cat cut out of the header and there wasn't any difference in performance.

I reckon the money's better spent on a Fuel Moto stage 1 A/C and PCV (either using the Jackpots or your stock cans). My bike's also got a cat and with the FM kit it runs much better and much cooler.

I've got mine changed now. Can't really tell any difference , maybe just alittle louder. Mileage seems about the same. Been to cold to notice any heat change . I would say its not worth the change but it makes me feel better !!
