Thats just great I bought the front and rear today from someone else. They were about 1/3 less than listed on there site. I have the pod & inner fairing getting painted this weekend. So should have it all together for next weekend.

You guys keep referring to these 50watt speakers being 10%-20% better than the older models which were 45watt like it's going to make it sound better? Well sorry guys but the wattage rating is not going to make them sound any different as that's simply the load they can handle. The stock head units only put out 18watts per channel and that's as good as your going to get to each speaker.

Now, if the speaker has an increased efficiency rating, a faster cone or enhanced voice coil then that is a different story as the more efficient the speaker, the better it will perform. Adding an amplifier will always deliver a better, cleaner, and more powerful sound. To me, that's the next thing needing an upgrade once you've upgraded the speakers.

I was thinking the same thing. It doesn't matter if they are 100w the head unit only puts out so much power= no louder volume.

So if we are going to go with an AMP is Hogtunes still the best choice? I have read other post regarding amps, i was looking for speakers and an amp. I like what I hear about Hogtunes, any thoughts?
