Need Help Engine Shacking
#21
If the sensor is bad and the computer thinks the engine is still cold, the rich mixture will cause a rough idle, then it'll smooth out with rpm. I've had it happen on a few customer bikes. Could be a bad injector too, but without touching the bike, my first guess would be the sensor. Have somebody plug a scanalyzer in and it should throw a code, telling you the problem.
Dollars to doughnut holes, it's something causing a rough idle, not mounts.

engine shake
I had this EXACT SAME problem with my 2004 EGC the dealed told me to change the front motor mount as it wes starting to crush so he sold me the NEW HD motor mount that was made in CHINA, I installed it and the bike was unrideable, so I put the old one back in and 15,000 miles later all is still fine. Also when I returned to the dealer with the CHINA motor mount and the story they did not seem at all surprised.

Thanks to all for your input. Just as a few have said Im off the mount issue and agree it is in the idle end. went for ride got bike warmed up and payed close attention to idle, was bouncing around from just under 900 -close to 1100. Just wonder if resetting throttle position and maybe try to reset idle will do it ???? Scanner Idea is prob better.
