+++1 on the ACC. Four plus years of riding with one and no issues yet. Went with the DOT and quick connect. As already mentioned, I'm also not real happy with the quick connect. When I get the next ACC helmet, it will have the d rings.

Agreed. ACC or Head Trip is the best helmet I ever owned.

Good info. I had been wanting to order a half helmet for a while now and thanks to this post I just ordered a flat black DOT extended half helmet with D-rings. They had my size in stock and gave me 10% for mentioning the forum and another 10% military discount. Lady I talked to on the phone was very nice and helpful. I'll post pics when I get the lid.

I have a Harley 1/2 helmet and it looks like a mushroom sitting on top of my head. I am interested in the Head Trip ACC carbon fiber helmets.

Does anyone have (or can snap) a photo of the inside of the helmet so I can get an idea of what the lining system looks like.

Also, I really like the Trooper II model but it isn't DOT. It looks like the same construction as the DOT Head Trip ACC helmets. Maybe just not tested yet since it is a new model???

the main difference between the dot and non dot from acc is the non dot have not passed the required puncture test mandated by dot. dot helmets must be able to sustain a 1" puncture from the top
