I love my ACC polo. When the sun gets low you can pull it down and shade your eyes. I live in a Helmet free state and even wear it when the wife is not around.

I'm beginning to sound like an ACC salesman but can't help posting about them in the helmet threads. I love my polo and +1000 on their customer service.

Default Carbon Fiber helmet

I bought one because they looked like a regular brain catcher. When I got it, it sat on my head just like the harley helmet and was not much different.
I returned it and saved 175.00.

+1 on the ACC! I have the polo, didn't buy it new got it from a forum member at a steal. It's Candy apple red too, in the shade it's the same color as my Black Cherry Road Glide but when the sun hits it it's like it has a battery! I like being able to pull it down for a sun visor also, I'd get the D-rings for sure also!

Mine's about due for replacement and I'm going for the D-Rings next time too.

the reason the acc helmets have the velcro pads is merely a comfort issue. the dot rquires padding suffiecient to prevent a 1" puncture through the helmet. acc has the thinnest material on the market allowed by dot. fiberglass helmets use foam padding to achieve the puncture requirements. thats why glass helmets have 1.5 to 2 " of padding inside while the acc is under 3/4"
acc does use carbon fiber and kevlar in their construction. only co. on the market that does
