Thumbs down What a deal

Not bad. 15% return on 300 million= 45 million in 1 year. Who is paying the 15%, the borrower? Hope theres better loan rates than that.

$300mil and 15% doesn't make you a biker. Buffet's a freakin' RUB.

Default Remember

Remember that bank are not lending money. 15% is an incredible return. I wish I can put my money on a 15% investment. Regardless, Warren always invests in smart, appreciating, LONG TERM assets. Harley is an icon and it will be hard to beat by other motorcycle companies.

BUT $300 million to Warren Buffet is like saying $300 to you and I. Don't get me wrong, it is a win for Harley when someone like Berkshire Hathways invests in Harley. But don't empty you 401K on Harley stocks today.

I remember someone quoting Warren Buffet on MSNBC when all the banks were folding like lawn chairs.
Buffet stated that he would do whatever it took, even if it meant using his own money, to keep TWO American Icons from going under. They were General Electric and Harley Davidson.
Thanks Warren

Agreed. Buffet or as they call him "the oracle" only invests in the best, top breads, or best in class. And, makes a ton of cash for his investors. He's been going in, and picking up top companies (General Electric, Coca-Cola, Goldman Sachs and Budweiser) for a few months now. When the economy turns, and it will. He'll make a killing.

I think this is nothing but good for HD to have a person like Buffet put his money where his mouth is!

Good idea!

We should also schedule a "Rumble Ride" for who ever bets short on HOG by circling their houses all hours of the night to let them know we are still alive.
