I just ordered a Kury LED Deluxe Tail Light (smoke lens) to put on my 08 SG. I know that it has a top clear window to shine on LP and my LP is below. My question is has anyone colored in the clear window on top? If so what did you use and how did it turn out? Would it be very noticeable to just leave it clear?

Not sure if it made for the LED type, but I just picked up the Kury 5450 smoked no window. Hope that helps

 

Send it back and order the Smoked Laydown Taillight Lens without the L.P. window.
$69.99. Comes with colored bulb that they say will not fade.

i recently relocated my lp under my tailight on my 08 RK have the same smoked lense you order doesnt make much difference if it has the LP light on top or not with LP gone nothing for it shine off of. gives off a slight orange glow but not real noticeable.

Not noticeable at all. I just installed it on an 09 Road Glide which has the same license plate mount. Looks great.

 

I hope Kury has made changes sence 05. I have a Kury LED tail light in my garage that I took off my bike. It looks brite when you stand behind the bike,but when on the road in the sunlight it goes away. Had several friend tell me they couldn't see my tail light or brake light in the daylight. Mine has the red lens, but I've seen the smoked lens on bikes that are the same way. My stock TL is brighter than the LED Kury. At least the one I have away. Good luck, I hope it works for you.

 

I just got the light in. I think you could just put a piece of electrical tape over the clear window from the inside and you would never know it was there. Thanks for the above comments.
