Do you really think that the dealer has anything at all to do with production dates?

How does it work if you try to renegotiate? I only put down $1000 so far. I havent gotten any paperwork yet. I sigen what appeared to be a purchase and sales but they said I couldnt have a copy as they didnt have a vin yet. I would assume for legal(arguments) sake I could renegotiate. If they wouldnt give me a copy how can it be binding.

Update:

I went over to my dealer yesterday afternoon with the whole family in tow. Wife and 2 babies. Turns out the salesmanager is no longer working there as he wanted to get back into service. They told me yesterday that the tourpack had not been ordered as I would need to pay for it in advance. Funny when I asked numerous times before if it would arrive with the bike they always said yes. So I took that piece of info and let it brew in my head. I could get the TP and all other acc. online for 20% off while they are only giving me 15%.(keep in mind we have 5% Sales tax.) so if I went to NH with no sales tax i would save even more.

So I wrote a nice email to the "NEW" sales manager explaining that I am second guessing doing business with them. I can get parts cheaper elsewhere and there were plenty of dealers hungry for my business and I would appreciate whatever he could do to earn me%

Went to my dealer tonight and they got my '09 2-tone Ultra in on the truck today. It came in early. I ordered it in November. I helped peel off a few pieces of the protective plastic wrap. Gonna see it cleaned up on Saturday morning and have a few things put on it before I take it. They got about 8 or 10 bikes in today on the truck. They were lined up in the shop, half covered in protective plastic wrap. Mine is number one on their list to prep.

I was in my dealer the other day! The Ultra's were getting very slim! Not much coming in! I think I saw where Harley is not going to put out as many bikes this year! The dealer says they see going back to a waiting list in the future!
