I agree. Plus the riding in Boston can't be that great in early March anyway.

 

I am in the same boat. Dealer told me first to second week of feb for delivery. I ordered mine in the end of Nov. Now they are telling me its "slated for March 15 production". I may look at cruise and security as that is what all the dealers have instead of just security.

 

I called customer service today. They said production would be delayed "at least a month" and that is subject to change. I asked could it be sooner? She just laughed.

 

I didnt make it to the dealer today. Im shooting for tomorrow

 

I called my dealer who called Harley production department and they got a confirmed ship date of February 25th. Go figure. Apparently the only production delays (today) are on certain Buell models and sidecars. I am now cautiously optimistic!!!

 

You might try telling your dealer that if it's significantly delayed, you'll cancel the deal. You can always back down if it doesn't work. Or you could go through with it and take your business elsewhere.

 

Sounds like the MOCO has decided to screw their dealers AND their customers. Oh wait, theyve been doing that for years already!

 

I ordered an 09 FLTR in October. the build date changed 3 times. Last Friday it showed as scheduled for February 5 ship date. Today it showed up at te dealer. We haven't done the numbers yet but I will pick it up thursday. HD does not update their computer system on a regular basis, I found that out....hope your comes early like mine did.

I would wait it out and see if it is indeed pushed out a little. You waited this long. The roads and weather are crappy now anyway. maybe by then Obamma and crew will have a tax break and interest break on bikes like they voted in today for automobile buyers.
