i mdid the same when i had my 08 eg classic. liked the look of the sg but not the suspension. i also removed those butt ugly rails around the bags. just my 2 cents worth. ride safe....

so why did'nt you just buy a SG? i can never understand why someone would buy a new bike and then start taking parts off, than why you bought that model?

 

Looks good, I did that to my 89' when the GF at the time pissed me off.
I got the 4 point docking on mine now for the back rest, It does ruin the looks of the rear fender. I don't know why HD wouldn't take the time to design a better looking set up.

 

took it off cuz I don't want it to look like yours. Nuff said?
