I just found what I've been looking for, a bracket that I can slide my tour pak forward or back! The problem is it costs a ton of money $399.00 but take a look and let me know if anyone has found anything close.

It is called the comfort slide at baggerparts.com

Bern,
I had an idea to do this about a year ago. It would work like a front seat in your car,,,,pull the lever and slide forward or backward. Unfortunatley, I left the machining world and became a teacher, so now I have access to NO machines for doing custom work.

Hope this helps....

Billy,
Thanks for the info! What I was looing for was like the one that I showed, I talked to George, what a great guy! Its just his is also a fixed adjustment that you have to pull a few bolts to change.

I want something adjustable as the ride goes on the passenger can either move it forward or back fairly easily as the ride dictates. George's unit is 2.5 inches and this is 3" (I am not concerned over a half of an inch).

George's unit is also about 1/3 the cost. (can also remove bolts a whole lot of times if necessary).

Right now I want the slider but George's is more realistic price wise.

Thanks

I have Georges unit andits an excellent piece. You can put it to far back then the top of you back rest digs ito the ladies back and its truly uncomfortable. Once you get it set I can't imagine moving it again.

Default bagger parts...?

..."it works with Harley detachable tour pack rack". So, you have to get a detachable rack from HD or Kur first? Sounds like the $$$ are adding up quick. I'm all in favor of this set-up and I think that the wife would like it, but which detach do you get first for the baggerparts slide to work in the first place?

Also his you have to pull out a bolt to reset, I was hoping someone had something more adjustable, that slides back and forth for quik adjustment.

I will probably get it to try anyway, its still better than what I have.
Hey Berndude, I don't think you've got any problems with it fitting. Yours is a 2003, and mine is a 2000... It fit fine. Just lay things out when you get it, and you'll find that everything lines up perfect. It took a few minutes for me to get everything set up right too, but it'll work...

It wasnt based on the year of the bike but the design of the tour pak detachable kit the year I purchased which was in Dec. 02. When did you purchase the one for your 2000?

Thanks
