Is the "chrome" peice plastic or metal? If it's metal, can it be removed for powdercoating? Will a windshield pouch fit after installing the pod? What do the alternate speaker covers look like?

Hi, Harry, I'm gonna guess at this and maybe Pez can jump in here and tell us for sure, but I think it is a 'chromed plastic' similar to the chromed switch covers and the chrome accents that you can buy from Harley to dress up your gauges. I don't think it's removable.
the chrome piece is a chromed plastic piece and is completely removeable. very easy to do, just two screws. not sure about the powder coating part as im not familiar with coating or how it would hold up to the heat during the baking.
Well, if it's removeable, it could be painted, which is good enough for me. Of course if PEZ would offer a satin black version, I'd be really happy (hint, hint).
dlrshort: Thanks for the excellent pics and write-up. When you have the time, how about a pic or two from the side? I'm very interested in the fit between the pod and the inner fairing. Thanks, again for the original posts.
2 things: can't find the pod on the hogtunes website & do forum members get a discount?
+1!!!! I went straight to the website before I made it past the 5th post to take a look, and they aren't on there! Where can we get them from? That would be a great addition! Does this kit make existing Hog Tunes speakers (which I already have installed) similar to component systems?

I have the three pouch bag abd it fits right where its always been. The alt covers have the same appearance as your factory speakers.
