I have plugged rear tires before and run them for many miles. Would I do the same on a front tire? NO.

I would assume that patching a front tire to get you home is okay as long as you don't dog it and keep an eye on things, but definitely not a permanent fix

Not a big fan of runnin' plugs long term, but dependin' on the size of the screw & damage & location of the puncture I don't see any problem with a correctly done hot patch on the inside. You run a tire repair business, so you should have the facilities & experience.

The general advice to not run repaired tires is valid since there are a *lot* of people that don't know how to do a proper repair.

Gotta say no way - especially on the front. I replaced my back tire with only 1000 miles on it because of a screw. Local tire shop tried to convince me to patch it and install a tube (current tires were tubeless) but I decided my own rear was worth more than the cost of a new rear tire!

I would not sit on the side of the road waiting on a tow truck but i would have to replace it soon only because of the OCD will not let me forget there is a plug there and ruin any ride i go on.
