Not sure how warm it will be in St Augustine. We rode up there from Port Charlotte to watch the Super Bowl a few years back and it was COLD !!

MIght be a little cold, but nothing you should worry about. If your taking the 95 corridor, stop at patriots point in Charleston, (if interested that civil war submarine, the CSS HUnley is there as well as is interesting). continue south and stop at Savannah, Ga river front. good shopping and decent restaurants. while in St. Augustine, eat at Amici's Italian on A1A, good food..also by the fort is a restuarunt called the white lion..good food as well. if you like wine, the San SEbastian winery is oin St Augustine, they offer free tours of their winery AND free samples of their product, can't go wrong there.

Jacksonville, Fla is a good place stop. Weather has been dicey in Fla. lately. Tonight its in the 30's tomorrow in the 60's. The east coast lately has been tough weather wise. If you are coming down 95, I have stopped at Colliers HD in NC. It is a nice place and there are plenty of restaurants, gas stations and hotels. Good luck on the ride.

I'm about 25 miles north of St. Augustine, In Feb. we average highs around 60-65. If you like seafood, 20 miles south of St. Aug. on A1A, in Flagler Beach, the Fisherman's Net. If you hit Jacksonville on Wednesday nite, Buffalo's Wild Wings for a cold beer, live band and usally about 500 bikers. Don't know how long you'll be down for but Daytona bike week starts on Feb. 27 this year, might want to stay for that.

We are leaving KY on the 14th of Feb headed to St Augustine, we should be there the 16th if all goes well. The weather is an issue to us also, as long as it's not raining or snowing the 14th we're heading out. We're going to work our way down through FL to the Keys and back up, then go around through Panama City up through AL back to home, it's about 2750 miles round trip that we have laid out.

You might want to give some thought to the Auto Train. Pick it up just south of DC and it drops you in Sanford, FL (after a good nights sleep); back track 1 ½ hours and you are there.

If you purchased the ticket now for February 15 it would cost you $343.00 and it would put you in FL the morning of the 16th. That is with a Roomette upgrade and it includes a nice supper and ok breakfast.

I did this on a return from a trip up north last July and I would do it again in a heartbeat.
