Where are you measuring? I have a new MU90 rear mounted on my spare wheel and it measures 9.5/32" in the center, which is perplexing since Dunlops specs are 11/32".

I just checked in several places at the deepest part nearest the center of the tread, but not on the wear bars, and it measured a bit less than 10/32". Dunlop's spec is 11/32", but I don't know where they're taking that measurement. I'm using a standard tread-depth gauge available at auto-parts stores.

Have to say I'm really impressed with the front E3 and looking forward to having one on the rear.
Your insight has helped me make the jump from the Michelins. Can't really fault the Commanders other than their tread pattern is too much like the stock Dunlops. Did 700 miles last weekend with several bouts of rain, and that front E3 performed extremely well. Have also pushed the Ultra really hard though the mountains 2-up, and the front has never felt better.
IMO, the E3s are the tire of choice for these heavy baggers!

17,226 miles??? WOW
I have done some research on the Elite III that I just replaced of the rear of my Electra Glide: Installed at 4,973 and just changed out at 22,199 would make for 17,226 miles leaving a tread depth of 2/32... I got my money's worth out of that one.
Yes, its hard for me to believe but I went over the paperwork 3 times before posting this...
I don't recommend anyone running the tire that long... was well into the wear bar.

Looking at the E3's
Well it's time for a new front and back tire.
All i've been getting outta my back tire is around 6000miles= Not what everone else is getting thats for sure....but my miles are mostly(90%) two-up and the twisty mountains. Front tire about 12000miles.
So i'm looking to improve the life of the tires--- E3's for me.
Are these the correct sizes for a 2007 Ultra classsic???
These are what i've seen on here.
MT90HB16 Front
MU90HB16 Rear
Anyways looking forward to starting next year off with these new tires.
