Default Interesting EFI mods

Has anyone had any experience with the PowerNow EFI modifications?

http://scaryfastracing.net/harley.html

My brother-in-law is very big on this add on device for carburetors, and now that it's available for EFI, he thinks it's a lot of bang for the buck. I just kind of hate the idea of being the guinea pig, although I guess someone has to be the first...

I agree, you won't get something for nothing, If you want controlled air induction, buy a blower for your Hog !

Looks like snake oil to me. Likely to hurt performance rather than help it. Reminds me of the old ads about special devices for cars that supposedly doubled gas mileage; or the golf ball that is "illegal" on some courses because it goes too far.

Anybody have a bridge for sale in Arizona?

Even if the concept works, I would hold to the belief that what the bike is designed to work with is by far the best. If they needed that much more air flow, and didn't have this so called technology, they would have build a bigger intake system.

I imagine you could get some SUPER performance using this gizmo AND running a fuel mic concocted of 20% 87 Octane, 15% 91 Octane, 25% Diesel fuel, 5% alcohol (Isopropyl), 15% water, 5% Acetone, and the remaining 20% paint thinner?

From interpreting the responses to your post, I suspect that the responders don't think much of that product. But then again, perhaps I didn't understand their comments.

I can sell you that London one.

But seriously, thanks for the info on the snake oil.

Making modification to carburator is one thing. Making the same to an EFI engine is a bit more risky. I would suggest you be a bit more conservative about what you put on your bike. A new HD costs you a lot of money, and may cost you even more with these aftermarket gadgets.
