Default '08 RKC Wheels Onto '05 RK Standard...

As the title says; I bought some '08 RKC spoked wheels off a guy for cheap and want to put them on my '05 standard RK that currently has the cast wheels.

I'm getting mixed directions on what to use for the swap.

The '08 wheels are 1" axles versus 3/4" on my '05 correct?

Dealership states new axles, bearings, etc...easy to swap over.

My question is are the lowers needing to be changed and what about offset on the rear pully?

Thanks in advance.

Default wheels?????

I know that the 08s have 25mm bearings and axle, the 05 have 1" bearings and axle. harley has a bearing kit for $70 each that will allow interchange of wheels from old to new and new to older bikes. check the hd accy catalog on the page before the wheels section and find info as to what you are attempting to do.

Thanks for the reply. I saw that in the catalog, but also noticed that for the chrome front end for touring bikes, there's two different part numbers for the lowers.

'00-'07 and then '08s and up which leads me to believe that changing axles from 1" to 25mm may not work.

?

need to check the outside diameter of the hub flange that the rotor sits on. having a different setup im not sure the swap will work. also if the flange is larger the bolt patterns for the belt drive or rotors may not fit
