Question Air gauge pic on 08 or later

Could one of you post a pic of the air temp sensor mounted on the neck of your 08 or later touring bike? I installed the oil pressure and air temp gauges on my FLHT but didn't find the wire to connect to the sensor. I just ran out of time but thought if someone had a pic it may give me an idea where to look and if I need to remove the fairing again or if I just can locate the wire. The instructions show the mounting location on the 08 and later to be on the frame just behind the steering head but do not mention where the wire is tucked away.

I found the end that connects to the gauge but not the sensor end. Thanks for the help.

Don't have a pic, but if you turn your forks to the right and where you see the wiring harness coming out attached to the neck it is located right there on the steering neck...little black thing

The air temp gauge only has a positive and a negative wire connector for the light bulb that goes in it

It also has a 3 wire lead to the air sensor which is located on the neck on 08 and later bikes. Thanks

I have the sensor and see where to install it. Does the sensor wire come out from the front fairing with the other wiring harness wires and run to the sensor?

I guess mine didnt have the sensor wire when it was installed at the factory. I thought it was usless so I replaced it with a oil temp sensor

Just went out to the garage (with 24" of snow falling throughout today and tonight) and checked. The wiring that runs to my sensor is an offshoot of the small wiring harness that runs to the headlight.

congrats on waking up a 2 year old thread ;-)

The air temp gauge and it's sensor just indicate the outside air temperature nothing more nothing less. And they VERY inaccurate, that is the reason many people change them to a oil temp gauge.
