I love that little emblem. Subtle, but adds a little distinction to the shield.

I am 6'3" and was looking into changing the standard W/S out for a taller one on my 08 SG,and ran into a buddy who just put one on his. Turns out he didn't like it because he couldn't put his dash storage pouch under it!.....so he offered it to me at a bargain price. I have had it on for this summer, it is better than the stock W/S, but the wind still hits me mid-forehead, so I do have too lean down a bit when I am caught in the rain.......all in all, I like it, and it compliments the look of the Glide.

I stopped by their shop on my way to Sturgis. They let me do a free demo. The shield worked for me but I am short. I think anything taller than their 6" version starts to lose the shape that makes it look cool.

I am on my second bike that I have installed the 6.5'' on. They work great for me but I am only 5' 9''.

I am 6'1" and the shield is just a little too short for me. The wind hits my helmet about 3 inches from the top and causes vibrations for me especially at 45 and 60 mph. I talked to a rep there a couple of weeks ago and they said they were working on a 8 inch shield in addition to the 6.5 and 10. No ETA yet. An 8 inch shield would be just perfect for me and I will get one when they come out. I tried the 6.5" when they first came out then took it off after 1 day. The rep talked me into trying it again about a month ago - improvements in material, better QA, etc. It is a great shield and I like the look but it is just a little too short for me. If I crouch down about an inch it is perfect. Just my 2 cents.

I wouldn't recommend the 6-1/2 incer to a guy 6' 3". I'm just under 6 foot, depending on the convenience store I'm leaving, and mine is just tall enough. The wind hits me at the top of my head. Put my hand on my forehead no wind, on top of my head it hits the whole palm of my hand. I just did a 2400 mile trip with it and it was fine, for me. I haven't tried it with a helmet and I think it might pull on the helmet. It seems to give the same protection as my 8" clear shield I used to run on trips. They are thin and flex a little. I'd be wary of the shield flexing in the wind if it were taller. See if you can find someone with one who'll let you try it on your bike. Oh yeah, that cute little emblem comes right off if you clean your windshield with hydrogen peroxide and water to remove bugs.
