Nice install, I'm about half way through with mine and it's too cold to finish.
Wayne sent me this photo of how to install the Dynaxorb.
I plan on installing mine this way also.

I used Brown Stuff in my last bike including the fairing and the bags. It is just like Dynamat but half the price and comes in a 50' roll. I found it was too heavy for the bags, useless in the fairings and ended up using the XTC baffles which worked better.

Dyna mat won't secure sound in a fairing and adds a lot of weight which can affect handling so IMHO, it's not a great choice. Baffles are 5 bucks and work great to isolate sound in a fairing. Many posts on this are searchable.

cfmii11, there is no dynaOrb in that picture... those are baffles that surround the speakers...

dynaOrbs are like a 6x6 square of some type of rubber... with ridges on em

Unless he put the Orbs in the baffles... heh

Yeah... the weight is pretty heavy I would say on the dynaMat..
if I had too wonder how I'd get it off... heat gun? ...hairdryer..

Eh, I used a hairdryer to remove the whole middle portion of my dynaMat.. but left it on the corners behind the speakers..where my dynaOrb's sit. A lot less weight now. I should be good now.. from worrying about the weight of it all.

Oh on them baffles, do you lose bass response...

Not that I am going to use them, the orb stuff is gonna do it's job.

The foam baffles help with bass response as they tighten the air around the back of the speaker and isolate it. You're only going to get so much air movement from a 5.25" speaker anyways. If it were a 6.5" in the fairing it would have a lot better bass. I know of a company that is just about to release a 6.5 adapter that allows you to stuff a 6.5" speaker in the fairing. Should be out in a couple weeks and will make a huge difference in sound.

As for the install in my lower fairings, i stuff some soundproof insulation in behind the speakers and that tightened up the bass from the lower fairings. This new install I did rocks pretty good for a kit with no subs. I'm liking it!

V...,
you are correct. I hadn't taken them out of the package yet.
I can't wait till I finish the install so I can hear the difference.
